Car Corral was established in the early 1970's by
previous owner John David Baker. Born and raised in
poverty in Lincoln, Missouri, John began his teenage
years selling furniture at a local furniture store and
peddling old vehicles on the side. He started his business
in Sedalia, Missouri, with only three other
preowned-vehicle dealerships in the area. John built his
reputation in the automotive business over the last 30+
years mostly by word-of-mouth and repeat customers.
In March, 2002, Marcia Baker, John's only daughter,
took over and incorporated the business with short-term
and long-term goals in mind. Marcia came into the
business with 18-years experience in the automotive
industry and automotive finance, including completion of
American Financial & Automotive Services Automotive
Training Academy in League City, Texas. Along with 10+
years automotive management experience in North
Kansas City, Missouri, she had a strong foundation for
expansion and success.
Second-generation ownership began by demolishing the
existing 25- year old 150 square foot building and
purchasing a 2500 square foot concrete building located
just 100 feet to the west, doubling our inventory, lot and
building square footage!
Now, over 30+ years family owned and operated, the
Car Corral offers In-House Financing and Bank Financing
on over 100 preowned cars, trucks, vans and SUV's in
